The story so far.....

Reckless of Hamble is a 12.25m sloop built by Westerly yachts in 1999.  She was moored in Gosport UK and skipper chartered in the Solent until her owners Tim Moore and Chris Brown decided to try their luck chartering her in the Med.

In 2005 she left the UK and continued down the Atlantic coast of Portugal and onwards to the Mediterranean cruising the Spanish coast and Formentera in the Balearics.  After circumnavigating Sardinia she made a home for the winter in Cagliari.

In the spring of 2006, Reckless and her crew of two cruised the east coast of Tunisia, Malta, Sicily and Corfu.  She then cruised the Ionian and the western Peloponesse to Crete where she and her crew spent the winter of 2006/7 in Aghios Nikolaos.

The summer season of 2007 was spent leisurely cruising the Aegean islands and coasts of Turkey, arriving in the Kekova roads, southern Turkey, late September to join the Vasco da Gama yacht rally.

She then cruised the south coast of turkey and cyprus before transitting the suez canal.  Leaving the pyramids and sphinx in her wake she dodged the coral to the sudanese marsa's, the coast of Eritrea, dodged the pirates in the Gulf of Aden and made her way to the scented shores of Oman and onwards to India.

So this is where we join Reckless and her crew of two.  In this site we hope to record some of the adventures of Reckless and her crew....
