Kusadasi
The marina is part of the Setur group and has excellent shelter and
facilities, tennis courts, pool, cafes & bars, free wi-fi, laundry, and an
excellent chandlery. Kusadasi is a port to clear into Turkey and the
marina staff will clear you in and arrange your visas and transit log for you at
a cost of 40YTL (about 25euro). The main town is a short walk away where
this is excellent provisioning, fruit market on a friday.
Cesme
Marina pontoons now operational with water and electricity at every
berth. Tailed moorings not at every berth but you'll be directed to one
that has. Very empty in June '07. No showers, toilets, or other
facilities so expensive for what you get. Good provisioning , internet,
bars & restaurants ashore. Ebo at the "No Problem" bar was
very friendly. There is a Setur marina the other side of the peninsular which we
didn't visit.
Alacati
The marina is almost finished and the final tailed lines are being installed
as we write. 100 ton travel hoist, water & electric to all berths, good
showers & toilets and quite cheap. Wifi planned but not yet working although
you can use the computer or your laptop in the office for free. 3km walk or taxi
into the very attractive town is well worth it.
Sigacik
Marina pontoons are in place and there are some pontoons with
cleats and tailed lines. Further in the pontoons have no cleats and you
have to go alongside with your lines around the pontoon mooring chains. We
weren't charged here over the weekend and saw no officials, we were greeted by
one of the waiters from a local restaurant who said he could get us water and
electricity, we declined. Basic provisioning. Internet cafe across the
dusty wasteland.
Yalikavak
New marina north of Bodrum
37o 06'.40N 27o16'.92E. Excellent chandlery,
laundry, free wifi, showers and toilets to die for! Good shelter from
meltemi. Attractive tourist village. Dolmus to Bodrum. Migros
supermarket in marina.
